Un neceser nuevo, esta vez hecho con una tela de muchos colores con un fondo negro, al que añadí unas tiras de raso blanco y turquesa para darle un punto diferente.

A new cosmetic case made with a colourful fabric, I added some white and turquoise ribbons to make it different.

Esta vez como agradecimiento, para dos personas que he conocido hace poco y que están intentando poner en marcha un proyecto muy bonito, desde aquí les deseo buena suerte.
Tenía ganas de comprar alstroemerias, y cuando vi éstas no dí más vueltas y decidí hacer los ramos mezclando tonos morados con verdes, una combinación que me gusta mucho. Mezclé las alstroemerias con crisantemos de dos colores y unas flores del género Bupleurum que me encantan, le dan un toque especial a los ramos.

I made these bouquets to thank two nice women I’ve met recently and that want to start a nice project for the neighbourhood. 
I wanted to buy Alstroemerias, and when I saw these ones I decided to make the bouquets in violet and green (in the photos flowers seem more pink), a color combination I like a lot. With the alstroemerias I mixed mums in two different colors and some flowers from the Bupleurum genus, I love them and I think they give a special touch to bouquets.

A veces tenemos que regalar algo a una persona pero no sabemos qué. ¿Un libro? Si no le gusta leer, ¿Un disco? No sé qué tipo de música le gusta, ¿Ropa? Ufff…Cuando voy a hacer un regalo me gusta pensar en cómo es la persona, su estilo, si lo va a utilizar, si es algo que le hace ilusión… Y muchas veces es difícil encontrar algo un poco diferente, sobre todo hoy en día que todo el mundo tiene de todo (y a veces demasiadas cosas). Así que creo que en estos casos lo mejor es regalar flores, a todo el mundo le gustan y siempre aciertas.
Por eso hace unos días a una de mis mejores amigas le regalé unas flores por su cumpleaños. Claveles, rosas y crisantemos junto con unos verdes parecidos al brezo, en tonos amarillos, para alegrarle el día.

Sometimes we have to give a present to a friend but we don’t know what he or she would like. A book? He/She doesn’t like reading. A record? I don´t know what kind of music he/she likes. Clothes? Ufff… When I have to look for a gift I like to think about the person that is going to received it, he or her style, if they are going to use it, if it’s something she or he wants… And usually it’s difficult to find something original, especially nowadays that everybody has a lot of things. So I think that when you don´t know what to buy, you can give flowers, everybody likes them and you will always succeed.
That’s why some days ago I decided to give some flowers to one of my best friends for her birthday. Yellow roses, carnations and mums, to cheer her day up.

Como regalo de navidad para mis hermanas y mi madre, también hice unos neceseres con un patrón de un libro de costura, y les añadí en el medio unas tiras de patchwork. Y luego modifiqué un poco el patrón para hacer otro más largo y estrecho.

As Christmas gifts for my sisters and mother, I also made some cosmetic cases. I took the pattern from a sewing book and added some nice fabrics. Later I altered the pattern a little and made a different one.

Ayer, cuando volví a casa del trabajo encontré una sorpresa en el buzón… Es tan emocionante recibir algo de una persona que no conoces y que vive en la otra punta del mundo! Me ha gustado mucho su carta, especialmente los pequeños calendarios!

Yesterday, when I arrived home after work I found a surprise inside my mailbox… It’s so exciting to recieved something from a person you don’t know who lives in the other side of the world! I love all the things she sent me, specially the little calendars, so cute!
